Revisiting the Interconnection and Correlation of Management, Scientific and Technical Documentation in the List of Typical Archival Documents, Created in the Scientific, Technical and Production Activities of Organizations, with Indication of their Retention Periods

Abstract: In the course of work on a draft List of typical archival documents, created in the scientific, technical and production activities of organizations, with indication of their retention periods, the possibility of management documentation exception was raised to remove duplication with the List of typical management archival documents, created in activities of government authorities, local self-government authorities and organizations, with indication of their retention periods. Questions of interconnection and correlation of management, scientific and technical documentation in the current List of typical archival documents, created in the scientific, technical and production activities of organizations, with indication of their retention periods, are analyzed. The research has shown that management documentation is, in number and in document type variety, of key importance in the totality of documentation creation; it stands in close relation to corresponding scientific and technical documentation both by functional use and content. In view of this, management documentation takes a new meaning, that is to say – «specifical industry documentation», or «industry management documentation».
